Rebecca Ladds is a printmaking major at Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto, and her blog is a living portfolio of works from conception to completion. Her primary tools are ink and a ball pointed calligraphy nib, and she plans to study the art of jewelry-making through her upcoming minor in material art and design. Outside of class, Rebecca stays busy with commissioned work, creating art for her Etsy store, and tattooing oranges for practice. She also likes birds.

Established in the spring of 2010, PIA is a multi-disciplinary art space and gallery exhibiting emerging and established artists. PIA TV is their online art network dedicated to creating and producing original web series based on art and the culture around it. Jonathan is a 23-year-old systems engineer from Venezuela, with interests in physics, astronomy, and aerospace engineering. Jonathan’s obsession, he readily admits, is with the cosmos. His thousands of posts about space, astronomy, astrophysics, and space exploration (and particle physics, quantum mechanics, and cosmology) seem to prove his point. To help aid in the navigation of all this material, he built a special page on his blog which breaks down posts by galaxies, nebulas, black holes, exoplanets, telescopes, every planet in our solar system, the Kuiper belt, and even more. Tumblr Insights: Election 2012 Report

With the U.S. presidential campaign already off to a roaring start, news from the Republican primary contests has been a major topic across Tumblr. As we near another crescendo in Florida, we were curious how the campaign—from the numerous debates and rallies, to election ads and gaffes—has played out so far in terms of the type and quantity of attention received by each candidate on Tumblr.

The first graph shows how frequently each candidate’s name appeared in posts. The second shows other tags most frequently associated with each candidate. We’re most impressed with the viral power of one creative concept blog: When Rick Perry’s Unpopular Opinions sprang up as a parody of one of Perry’s campaign videos, he easily became the most blogged candidate overnight.
